Producers' Base and Yield Update Option Analyzer is available on line from the Agricultural and Food Policy Center at Texas A&M University. The Base Yield Analyzer can help farmers analyze the economic consequences of the updating options outlined in the 2002 Farm Bill, taking into consideration potentially risky crop prices and their impacts on counter-cyclical payment rates. Prior to signing-up a farm, producers should check to see if the base and yield updating rules or the price projections have changed since the last analysis.
