Sen. Dole, accompanied by Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) and Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), addresses reporters at a press briefing on June 19, 2008.

Sen. Dole joined Sen. Burr and several of her other Senate colleagues in calling for the quick confirmation of Judge Robert Conrad of North Carolina.  Judge Conrad was nominated by President Bush to serve on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit on July 17, 2007.  Sen. Dole also urged the quick confirmation of Judge Thomas Farr (nominated to serve as a District Court Judge in the Eastern District of North Carolina), who has been waiting over 600 days for a hearing.
