ALLARD REQUESTS SENATE JUDICIAL HEARING FOR PHIL BRIMMER
U.S. Sen. Wayne Allard (R-Colo.) today responded to the American Bar Association’s (ABA) recently released ratings of the three judicial nominees slated to fill vacancies on the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. The ABA rated Assistant U.S. Attorney Phillip A. Brimmer ‘Well Qualified,’ their highest rating, while rating the other two Colorado judicial nominees Christine Arguello and Gregory Goldberg ‘Qualified.’
“It would be an outrage if the one judicial nominee with an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the ABA is left out of the hearing process for political purposes,” said Allard. “Phil Brimmer has not only received the highest rating the ABA can give, but professional praise from the Colorado legal community; Republicans and Democrats alike.”
