On Thursday, November 19, 2009, The Majority Leader, Senator Reid, received unanimous consent for consideration of the Motion to Proceed to H R 3590, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and for a time certain for a vote on a motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to HR 3590. The uc is: Friday, November 20, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM the motion to proceed to HR 3590 will be debated. Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM the Senate will debate the Motion to Proceed to HR 3590. At 8:00 pm the Senate will vote on the Reid Motion to Invoke Cloture on the Motion to Proceed to HR 3590, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. If cloture is invoked, the Motion to Proceed to H R 3590, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will be agreed to and the bill will be laid down. After the bill is reported, the Majority Leader will be recognized to call up his amendment, and that it be reported by number only.

The Majority Leader stated the schedule for today. At 10:00 AM the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to HR 3590, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Time will be alternated in one hour blocks. The Minority Leader spoke on healthcare reform on leader time.
