Subject: 2009 CONGRESSIONAL PRESS ACCREDITATION FOR THE 111th CONGRESS, FIRST SESSION - LINK FOR APPLICATION

The Standing Committee of Correspondents requires all gallery members to submit new applications for Congressional accreditation for the 111th Congress, 1st Session. All gallery members must reapply. Please have typed forms delivered, in alphabetical order, with an original signature of the applicant and the bureau chief, to the Senate Press Gallery, Room S-316 U.S. Capitol.

Each organization must include an eight dollar ($8.00) per person accreditation fee with the applications. Checks should be made payable to the Standing Committee of Correspondents. Each organization should submit one check for its entire bureau.

ATTENTION: FOREIGN CORRESPONDENTS

ALL CURRENT AND NEW FOREIGN APPLICANTS MUST ALSO INCLUDE A NEW LETTER OF CERTIFICATION FROM THEIR EMBASSY AND THEIR NEWS ORGANIZATION.

DEADLINE: 2009 applications and checks must be received by March 9, 2009.

New gallery cards will be available for pickup beginning April 1, 2009.

Please have applications delivered to Beth Crowley, Senate Press Gallery, S-316,
U.S. Capitol. All credential packets must be hand delivered by a credentialed reporter. (Mail delivery to the Capitol currently takes up to six weeks. Courier service to the Capitol has been suspended. Therefore, it is necessary for a credentialed member of your organization to deliver your 2009 applications.)
