Mr. Tom Udall, from the State of New Mexico, called the Senate to order at 9:30 a.m., the Reverend Dr. Joseph M. Vought, Senior Pastor of Community Lutheran Church, Sterling, Virginia, offered a prayer , and Mr. Udall led the Senate in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.
