Ms. Heidi Heitkamp, from the State of North Dakota, called the Senate to order at 9:30 a.m., the Chaplain offered a prayer, and Ms. Heitkamp led the Senate in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.

S.Res. 13 (Sen. Brown): A resolution congratulating the members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for 100 years of service to communities throughout the United States and the world, and commending Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for its promotion of sisterhood, scholarship, and service .

S.Res. 22 (Sen. Vitter): A resolution recognizing the goals of Catholic Schools Week and honoring the valuable contributions of Catholic schools in the United States.
