Howard Hughes testifying in the Senate

Investigations is one of more than 50 VRD categories. The 2004 release of the movie The Aviator has drawn attention to the investigative powers of the Senate when it featured Howard Hughes testifying before the Senate Special Committee Investigating the National Defense Program in 1947. Several special Senate committees have been created over the years to conduct investigations.
