Today in the Senate

May 20:

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. and proceed to a period of morning business until 12:00 noon, with Senators permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each. The Republican's will control the first 30 minutes, with the Majority in control of the final 30 minutes.

Following morning business, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session.

The Senate will recess for 12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus luncheons.

The Senate is expected to conduct the first roll call vote of the day at approximately 2:30 p.m., on confirmation of the nomination of G. Steven Agee to be U.S. Circuit Judge for the Fourth Circuit. The Senate is then expected to turn to the consideration of the Supplemental Appropriations bill.
