Medicare Fraud Prevention and Enforcement Efforts
The Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI) has scheduled a field hearing on MEDICARE FRAUD PREVENTION AND ENFORCEMENT EFFORTS for Wednesday, December 9, 1998 at 10 a.m., in Room 2525 (Ceremonial Courtroom) of the Everett Dirksen Federal Building in Chicago, Illinois.
The Chicago field hearing will be the Subcommittee's third hearing to examine fraud and abuse in the Medicare program. This hearing will focus on successful fraud prevention and enforcement efforts in Illinois and the surrounding areas that have been undertaken by a coalition of federal and state agencies and organizations during the last three years. In highlighting these efforts, the Subcommittee expects to draw lessons which may be used to prevent Medicare fraud nationwide.
