Chairman of Agriculture
Appropriations Subcommittee
The Senate Agricultural Appropriations Subcommittee
has jurisdiction over the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) budget and many other important farm programs, including feeding programs for the poor, invasive species, unfair trade, food safety, conservation, and rural development. All this amounts to about $60 billion a year in agriculture spending.
As the chairman of the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommitee, I'm committed to using my position to ensure that Wisconsin's farmers will get a fair return for all of their hard work and to ensure that the federal government continues investing in farmers and rural America.
