| On September 3, 2008, Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.)
visited the site for Connecticut River Transit's new 20,000-square-foot
transit facility in Rockingham. Leahy secured $3 million for the
$3.66 million project. This site will house a new transit facility
and bus terminal, as well as a new park and ride lot. Connecticut River
Transit is expected to move into the facility next spring. |

| On August 20, Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.)
announced over $8 million in funding
for a wastewater improvement project slated to begin in 2010 in Jay
and Troy. These funds come from the U.S. Department of
Agriculture's Rural Development and will spur economic growth in the
area, create jobs and even help provide affordable housing.
The improvements will also ensure less untreated water will be released
into the Missisquoi River and Lake Champlain. Pictured left to
