Senator Wyden in Oregon

During a recent trip to Oregon, Senator Wyden met with Oregon National Guard troops training in the desert south of Boise, Idaho. More than 3,000 troops will be deployed to Iraq next year, the largest such deployment in Oregon National Guard history. The stop to see troops was part of a week-long series of events for Wyden, including a town hall meeting in Klamath Falls and a news conference to announce plans for a new geothermal plant that will make the Oregon Institute of Technology the first all-geothermal campus in the world.
