The Republican Staff of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship seeks a press intern for the fall of 2025. Responsibilities include assisting with drafting press releases and other communication materials, monitoring news coverage, compiling press clips, taking pictures, utilizing Canva and other graphic design platforms, and assisting with social media content creation. Qualified candidates should have strong writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Experience with digital media, graphic design, or video editing is preferred. Prior Hill experience is preferred but not required.

The Republican Staff of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship are seeking interns to assist the Committee for the fall of 2025. Interns should expect to conduct policy and background research on legislation and policy issues relevant to the Committee. Interns will also assist with the Committee's hearings and mark-ups by compiling relevant information and developing reference materials for the Chair and her staff. Interns will be expected to help with communications materials as well. Qualified candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in legislative affairs, possess excellent attention to detail, time management, and exhibit exceptional writing capabilities. Prior Hill internship experience is preferred.

Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) is currently accepting applications for 1-2 communications/digital internship position(s) in his Washington DC office for Fall 2025. Responsibilities include compiling daily news clips, maintaining and updating press lists, monitoring national, state, and local media, drafting and editing written materials, including press releases, op-eds, newsletters, and social copy, creating engaging social media content, graphics, and videos for the digital team and supporting the communications team with press conferences and live events. Additional responsibilities may include corresponding with and serving Massachusetts constituents by answering phones, giving Capitol tours, and organizing incoming messages, attending Senate committee hearings and briefings, and assisting with other administrative and legislative projects as necessary. The DC internship program is directed toward current and recent undergraduate students. Backgrounds in journalism, communications, film, graphic design, and media studies are desirable but not required. The Office of Senator Adam Schiff is seeking a Law Clerk to work in his Washington, D.C. office for the fall of 2025. Duties include assisting the Senator’s judiciary team with legislative research, memo drafting, oversight work, and preparing the Senator for Senate Judiciary Committee hearings and markups.

Candidates must be current law students and be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week. Candidates must also possess strong writing and analytical skills, legal research skills, and critical thinking skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Senator Peter Welch (D-VT), member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, seeks one full-time law clerk for the Fall of 2025. The law clerk will serve on the policy team that manages the Senator’s Judiciary and Rules Committees portfolio and advises on judicial nominations along with related policy work. The law clerk may also collaborate with other legislative teams on issues and matters outside the core portfolio, depending on the needs of the office.

231480 MAX KAMPELMAN FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM -

The Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe seeks candidates for its Max Kampelman Fellowship program. They are accepting applicants for communications and policy fellowships. The Kampelman Fellowship program is open to current or registered graduate students; applications may be accepted from recent undergraduates (the beginning of the fellowship term should be less than one year since graduation), and in exceptional circumstances, undergraduate students with previous internship experience.

All Kampelman Fellowship candidates should have a keen interest in learning more about international affairs, the inner workings of Congress, and the relationship between the legislative and executive branches in the realm of foreign policy. Proficiency in a second OSCE language is an asset.

Pursuant to Section 704 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017, Pub. L. No. 115-31 (May 5, 2017), as amended, an applicant must be one of the following: (1) a citizen of the United States; (2) a person who is lawfully admitted for permanent residence and is seeking citizenship as outlined in 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)(B); (3) a person who is admitted as a refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157 or is granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. 1158 and has filed a declaration of intention to become a lawful permanent resident and then a citizen when eligible; or (4) a person who owes allegiance to the United States.

Policy Fellows: Applicants should demonstrate excellent writing, analysis, research, and oral presentation skills, as well as an interest in government, international relations, and human rights.

Communications Fellows: Applicants should demonstrate excellent writing and editing skills, a basic understanding of WordPress, knowledge of social media platforms, and an interest in government. Photography skills are a plus.
