Senate to order at 9:30 a.m., Dr. Calvin V. French, Pastor Emeritus,
of Community of Christ Church, in Washington, D.C. offered a prayer, and
Mr. Walsh led the Senate in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag
of the United States of America.
