Secretary for the Minority Robert M. Duncan

Robert Duncan was elected Secretary for the Majority on February 27, 2020, after serving as the Assistant Republican Secretary for the last eight years. He started his career in Washington working for Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky at the National Republican Senatorial Committee in 2000. After that, he held several positions in the office of Senator Bill Frist of Tennessee. Duncan moved to the Republican cloakroom in 2004 after Frist became Majority Leader. With the exception of a brief stint helping open an office for a freshman Senator in 2011, he has served in the cloakroom since 2004, most recently as Assistant Secretary. He has a B.S. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Mr. Duncan is married, has two children, and lives in Washington, D.C.
