Art & Artifacts

The U.S. Senate Collection comprises nearly 6,500 objects that have been collected principally for their public, patriotic, and commemorative characteristics. The decorative art collection showcases historically significant furnishings, as well as everyday objects that reflect the changing needs of the Senate and its members. Historical images and artifacts provide a rich archive of the persons and events of our national history, centered upon the institution of the Senate from its founding to the present.
