Important Voter Registration InformationFor Washington State Veterans And Non-Partisan Voter Registration GroupsFeeling pressure from Senator Murray and other veterans advocates, the Department of Veterans Affairs has OVERTURNED a controversial ban on voter registration efforts at VA facilities. Now that the ban has been lifted, there is simply no time to lose in registering Washington state veterans by the October 4th voter registration deadline. County election officials and nonpartisan groups need to apply immediately at VA facilities to register veterans. Celebrating Wild Sky Wilderness |
After 6 years of working Wild Sky Wilderness through the legislative process, U.S. Senator Patty Murray and U.S. Representative Rick Larsen celebrated the final step in the process – Presidential signing. President Bush signed Wild Sky Wilderness into law this morning, creating the first new wilderness area in the state of Washington in over twenty years. - ![]()
