
The Senate will convene at 9:45am and resume consideration of the motion to proceed to the Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009 (H.R. 3590), the legislative vehicle for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2009, until 8:00pm. The time between 10:00am and 6:00pm will alternate each hour between Democrats and Republicans with the Democrats controlling the first hour, and with the time between 6:00pm and 6:30pm under Democratic control, the time between 6:30pm and 7:15pm under Republican control, the time between 7:15pm and 7:30pm under Democratic control, the time between 7:30pm and 7:45pm under the control of the Republican Leader, and the time between 7:45pm and 8:00pm under the control of the Majority Leader. At 8:00pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R. 3590. If cloture is invoked, all post-cloture debate time will be yielded back and the motion to proceed will be agreed to by unanimous consent. After the bill is reported, the Majority Leader will be recognized to call up the Reid-Baucus-Dodd-Harkin amendment in the nature of a substitute (#2786) and the amendment will be reported by number only, by unanimous consent. |
