Marble Busts of the First Five U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justices
Marble busts of the first four chief justices of the United States face the bench in the Capitol's Old Supreme Court Chamber. These busts have been returned to their original location in the room. The bust of Roger B. Taney by Augustus Saint-Gaudens has been placed on view in the adjacent Robing Room in recognition of his service in the Old Supreme Court Chamber.
