Pending:

The Senate will be in adjournment until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, under the provisions of S. Con. Res. 71, the Adjournment Resolution, after adjourning at 2:40 p.m. Friday, October 3.

At 9:30 a.m., the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business, with the time equally divided. The first half of the time will be under the control of Sen. Hutchison or her designee, and the second half will be under the control of the Minority Leader or his designee.

At 10:30 a.m., the Chamber will resume consideration of S. 1689, the Iraq and Afghanistan Emergency Supplemental Appropriations bill. Senators are encouraged to introduce amendments at this time. Amendments pending to S. 1689 are Byrd amendments #1818 and #1819, Reid (NV)(for Stabenow) amendment #1823, Bond amendment #1825, and Dorgan amendment #1826.

At 12:30 p.m., the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. for the Democratic Policy Lunch. Please note that the GOP Policy Lunch will be at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday October 15.

At 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, the Senate will VOTE on passage of S. 1053, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination bill, as amended by the committee substitute amendment and a Snowe amendment. Prior to the VOTE on passage, there will be 15 minutes of debate.

NOTE: The Majority Leader intends to complete action on S. 1689 by close of business on October 17.

During Friday’s session of the Senate, no roll call votes were conducted.
