This hand-blown, lead-free crystal vase was accepted by a senator on behalf of the United States in 2016 as a gift from a government official of the Czech Republic. The country's Bohemia region has a long tradition of high-quality glassmaking. Moser, the luxury glassworks that produced this item, was founded in 1857. This "Purity" vase by Moser features minimalist, straight lines and a luminous blue color that the company names "aquamarine." As with all foreign gifts, its acceptance and use are governed by the Foreign Gifts and Decorations Act (5 U.S.C. § 7342).
