Object Description
This leather-bound book of inaugural addresses, together with a crystal vase, was presented to attendees of the Inaugural Luncheon held in National Statuary Hall as part of the 56th Presidential Inaugural Ceremonies. The book includes the inaugural addresses of presidents of the United States of America beginning with President George Washington's 1789 speech. An insert on the book's inside back cover holds a copy of President Barack Obama's address delivered at the inaugural ceremonies earlier that day. The book has a dark blue leather-bound cover embossed in gold with the Great Seal of the United States. It is presented in a dark blue leather-bound case.
