IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES.

June 19, 1911.

MR. HEYBURN submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Rules and ordered to be printed.

RESOLUTION

1 Resolved, That the Secretary of the Senate and the

2 Sergeant at Arms of the Senate are hereby directed to retain

3 in the employ of the Senate those persons who served in the

4 Union Army during the late Civil War and whose service

5 in the Senate is [necessary &] satisfactory [and who are not otherwise provided for] and to continue such persons in

6 their positions until cause for their removal shall have been

7 reported to and approved of by the Senate and their removal

8 directed.
