U.S. Flag Returns to Capitol

The U.S. flag that flew over the Capitol at the time of the Pearl Harbor attack is returned to the Capitol on April 6, 1948, after having been raised over the three defeated Axis capital cities—Rome, Berlin, and Tokyo. Senator Arthur Vandenberg (MI) accepts the flag.
