Mrs. Cindy Hyde-Smith, from the State of Mississippi, called the Senate to order at 10 a.m., the Sam Steele, Pastor, Chapel by the Sea , from South Padre Island, TX offered a prayer, and Mrs. Hyde-Smith led the Senate in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.
