Mr. Alex Padilla, from the State of California, called the Senate to order at 10 a.m., the Pastor Robert H. Thune, of Coram Deo Church, in Omaha, Nebraska offered a prayer, and Mr. Padilla led the Senate in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.
